Virtual Village was highly successful in the software development marketspace, developing turnkey solutions for a number of blue chip clients. These solutions had a significant hardware element and when, in 2000 the attractive software arm was acquired in a 10m Euro sale, the hardware supply and distribution side of the business could grow in its own right.
